Dr. Mahta Hazaveh

Dr. Mahta Hazaveh grew up in Sweden and is fluent in English, Farsi, Swedish and Spanish. She graduated in dentistry from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm in 2014 and then went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Dental Sciences from McGill University, Montreal, in 2017. She practiced dentistry in the public setting in Sweden for a few years before moving to the United States, where she completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at Rutgers University in 2021. She received the annual New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (NJAPD) resident recognition award for her exemplary services as a pediatric dental resident at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and received the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award for scoring in the top three percent of candidates on the written portion of the American board of Pediatric dentistry examination.

Outside of work, Dr. Hazaveh enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and travelling with her husband.

Dr. Bihac Mazigh

Dr. Bihac Mazigh was born in Montreal and raised in Ottawa. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Ottawa before completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at McGill University in Montreal. He then pursued an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at NYU Langone in Florida, followed by a residency in Pediatric Dentistry at BronxCare Health System in New York City, a teaching affiliate of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Mazigh speaks English, French, Farsi, and Spanish, allowing him to easily connect with families from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.

In his spare time, Dr. Mazigh enjoys staying active and exploring new coffee shops.
